Live online piano & trombone

Your lesson, wherever you play.

Real-time guidance from your teacher, without the travel.

Peled Music Lessons offers live online piano and trombone instruction in addition to in-home teaching. Lessons are one-to-one and scheduled directly with Yonathan, not a library of prerecorded tutorials.

  • A live teacher, not an app
  • Piano or trombone
  • Direct feedback and questions
  • No Brooklyn travel required

Set up a useful view

For piano, a camera that shows the hands and keyboard helps the teacher follow what you are doing. For trombone, show posture and the slide without forcing yourself to turn away from the music. A stable device support is preferable to holding a phone while playing.

Check the sound before the lesson

Use a quiet room, a reliable connection and a device with a working microphone. Test a few notes and ordinary speech. Video-call settings can affect how an instrument is heard, so allow time to check the setup with your teacher rather than changing many settings during the lesson.

What works well online

Reading, practice strategies, theory, listening, repertoire and focused feedback can all be addressed. You will generally take turns playing and listening rather than expect a perfectly synchronized remote duet. Keep the score or assignment accessible and communicate what you hear or feel while playing.

Choosing between online and in-home

An online format may suit a student outside the route or someone who wants to avoid travel. An in-home format gives the teacher a direct view of the physical setup. Discuss the student’s needs, available equipment and scheduling before choosing; neither format is promised to be ideal for everyone.

Questions before you begin.

Do I need special recording equipment?

Start by describing the device, internet connection and instrument you already have. Additional equipment is not automatically required.

Can a beginner study online?

Beginners can inquire. Readiness, setup and the kind of help needed should be discussed first.

Are lessons pre-recorded?

No. This page describes scheduled, live one-to-one lessons with Yonathan.

Let’s talk music

A good lesson starts with a conversation.

Tell me the instrument, neighborhood and a few possible times. We’ll discuss the fit before you book.
