Piano lessons in Brooklyn.
A patient, personal approach to piano for children, teens, and adults—whether you’re starting from the beginning or finding your way back to the keys.
Play music that means something to you.
Students build solid musical foundations while discovering the repertoire that excites them. We can work on classical pieces, jazz, pop, favorite movie or video-game music, or music the student writes themselves.
Each lesson balances technique with creativity, listening, and the simple pleasure of making music.
What we can explore
- Piano technique and healthy playing habits
- Music reading and rhythm

- Music theory and composition
- Performance preparation and confidence
Lessons that fit into the week.
I teach in students’ homes, so children and adults can learn on the piano or keyboard they practice on. The familiarity of their own instrument helps connect what happens in a lesson to the week in between.
In-home piano lessons are offered in Park Slope, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Carroll Gardens, with nearby neighborhoods considered based on availability.

Before your first lesson.
Do I need a piano at home?
A piano or keyboard is recommended for lessons and between-lesson practice. If you’re unsure what to get, I can help you think through the options.
Do you teach adult beginners?
Yes. Adult beginners and returning pianists are welcome, and we’ll work at a pace suited to your goals.
Can I learn jazz or improvisation?
Yes. Jazz, improvisation, ear training, and theory can be integrated with classical or pop repertoire.
Are online piano lessons available?
Yes. In addition to in-home lessons, online lessons are available for students who prefer that format.
